Susannah BARDRICK

   Another name for Susannah was Susan.

  General Notes:

The family of William Willis have Susannah's surname as BELCHER on William's death certificate. There is no evidence of an earlier marriage found so far. I have researched all the census entries for the village and area for both without finding evidence to make me alter the BARDRICK name on the marriage certificate. There was only one Bardrick family in Chalgrove, as it appears on this tree.
Unfortunately, the Chalgrove Parish Registers were damaged by fire and water. The very year I needed to check Susannah's birth details was obliterated. Her age on 1871 census suggested that she was born in 1792. There was no Susannah Belcher born around that time although Belchers appear in Chalgrove. I believe Susannah was the youngest child of Thomas Bardrick and Mary Tom(b)s. Also a Badrick family came to Australia on the same voyage as William and Maria, Kate and Thomas Willis. I made contact with a Badrick but she was rather rude and refused to entertain any connection so we may never know if they were related.

Susannah married Samuel WILLIS, son of Samuel WILLIS and Sarah SANDERS, 27 June 1814 in Chalgrove, , Oxfordshire, England. (Samuel WILLIS was born in 1793 in Wargrave, , Berkshire, England, baptised 24 March 1793 in Wargrave, , Berkshire, England and died after 1871 in Chalgrove, , Oxfordshire, England.)
