EVELYN HASKELL SCHANDA
Funeral services for Evelyn Haskell Schanda will be held at 3 p.m. April 29, 2006, at the Forsyth Whelchel Chapel. Visitation will start at noon. Burial will be at a later date in Monee, Ill., at the Skyline Memorial Park.
Mrs. Schanda died April 26, 2006, at Skaggs Community Health Center, in Branson.
She was born in Glenville, W.V., the daughter of Victor and Lelah (Queen) Varner. Evelyn owned and operated the Midwest Power Company in Arlington Heights, Ill. She moved to Forsyth in 1985 from St. Louis. She was a member of the New Vision General Baptist Church at Taneyville.
Survivors include four sons, Robert "Bob" Haskell and wife Stephanie, of Spring Valley, Ill., Edward "Ed" Haskell and wife Graciela, of Baton Rouge, La., James "Jack" Haskell and wife Kathy, of Covington, La., and Ronald Haskell and wife Tina of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; step-children Royce Schanda and wife Joanne of Paragould, Ark., Ed Schanda and wife Bonnie of Forsyth, June Brown and husband Jerry of Malden, Hammonds Schanda and wife Nancy of Forsyth, Eugene Schanda and wife Mary of St. Peters, Ken Schanda and wife Roann, of Bolivar; nine grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Robert Haskell and the Rev. Willie Schanda; two sisters; and one brother.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
