SYLVIA MAE HASKELL
Graveside services for Sylvia Mae Haskell, 93, of
Palacios were held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2001 at Hawley Cemetery near Blessing, with the Rev. Charlie Parker officiating.
A native of Mangum, Okla., she was born Dec. 8, 1907 to the late James and Effie Mae Long Harris. She died Jan. 18, 2001. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Bettye Koontz of
Palacios and Willa Koontz of Sugar Land; a sister, Mable Kinard of Bay City; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Haskell; sons, Earl Rogers and Donald Rogers; and one grandson.
Pallbearers were Henry Penland, Scott Arndt, Andy
Arndt, Jeff Franklin, Terry Brossette and Robert Marek.
