Laurel Fay Haskell, Obituary
Laurel Fay Haskell, age 53, of Buxton, passed away on July 22, 2008, in Scarborough, surrounded by her husband and family.
She was born in Lyndonville on July 29, 1954, to the late Charles and Avis (McQueen) Norrie.
She worked at the Governor's Restaurant in South Portland for many years. She was loved by all and was very devoted to her family and friends.
She loved life and enjoyed working in her flower beds and gardens, and loved the horses that she and her husband owned. Laurel enjoyed going to the races at Scarborough Downs. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, and made candy and cakes at Christmas and Easter for family and friends.
She is predeceased two brothers, Ronald Norrie and William Norrie.
She is survived by her husband Michael Haskell; a son, Claude Maillet, of Brattleboro; a daughter, Kara (Piadade) Elliott and her husband Daniel of Hinsdale, N.H.; step daughter Melanie Piadade, also of Hinsdale; four grandchildren; a sister Marilyn Norrie Jones, of North Concord, Vt.; two brothers Bradley Norrie and his wife Darlene of Concord, Vt., and George Norrie and his wife Sandra of Ware, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.
