Herbert H. Haskell Sr. 1919-2009

Herbert H. Haskell Sr. died in Fresno at the age of 90. He was born Feb. 16, 1919 in Lincoln, Neb.
He was a Coarsegold resident for 38 years. He served in World War II in the Fighting Fifth infantry.
His hobbies included gems and minerals, working in the garden to grow beautiful vegetables and taking care of his horses and dogs.
He was involved with veterans groups and the Coarsegold Community Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rozella.
He is survived by his children Herb Haskell Jr., Charles Haskell, Frank Haskell and Sandy Brous; grandchildren Carrie Haskell-Levano, Kim Haskell, Denise Haskell, Natalie Haskell, Chuck Haskell, Francie Haskell, Brian Haskell, Brent Haskell, Andrea Norman and Keith Brous and numerous great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today, April 16, at Sierra Funeral Chapel in Oakhurst.
