KINGSBURY - Deborah L. (Dickinson) Haskell, 59, of Kingsbury, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital, on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born on June 7, 1950, at Glens Falls Hospital, she was the daughter of Effie Mae Murley and John James Dickinson.
She was a 1968 graduate of South Glens Falls High School with a regents diploma.
Debbie was employed as a customer service representative for many years licensed to sell insurance. Most recently she worked at Suburban Propane of South Glens Falls.
She married Larry Haskell on Sept. 7, 1974 at St. Michael's Church of South Glens Falls.
Debbie was a communicant of St. Michael's Church, Saratoga Avenue, South Glens Falls.
She enjoyed gardening, baking, cleaning and caring for the elderly and spending time with her family.
Debbie was predeceased by her mother and father, her mother-in-law, Marion Way, grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Haskell of Kingsbury; her son, Larry Haskell Jr. of Hoosick Falls; daughters, Dana Haskell of Glens Falls and Maegan Haskell of Kingsbury; stepmother, Martha Dickinson of Queensbury; grandchild/Godchild, Nicole Hall of South Glens Falls; siblings: brother, John Dickinson and his wife, Stella of South Glens Falls; sisters: Dale Dickinson and partner, Kathy Usher of Texas, Wendy Talback and her husband, Leo, of Kingsbury, Heather Monroe and her husband, John of Queensbury, Julie Dresser and her husband, Bill of Queensbury, Jodie Brown and her husband, Kevin of Queensbury; sisters-in-law, Claudia Haskell of Corinth, JoeAnn Stockdale and her husband, Rick of South Glens Falls; brothers-in-law, Ken Way and his wife, Kim of Queensbury and David Way and his wife, Pam of Queensbury, Wesley Way and his wife JoLisa of Kentucky, John Way and his wife Tina of Kentucky; several special nieces and nephews, very special friends, Kim and Bobby Hall, Jill Smith, and Patty Stoy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at St. Michael's Church, Saratoga Avenue, South Glens Falls.
Burial to follow at Moss Street Cemetery, Hudson Falls.
Family and friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March, 19, 2010, at the Regan and Denny Funeral Home, 94 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls, N.Y.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Matthew Duket, Patrick Duket, Nathan Monroe, Jordan Monroe, Kevin Brown, Jeff Dickinson and John Dickinson.
Memorial donations may be made out to Deborah Haskell Memorial Fund c/o and Trustco Bank.
