Son of George Haskell 1723-1796 and Ann Fricker abt 1725-1796. Baptized, Donhead, 28 Dec 1748, and buried there 29 Aug 1815, aged 67 years. He married Love Haskell, 7 Apr 1773 at Tisbury. She was buried 7 Feb 1819, aged 68. They had eight children. According to the Wiltshire Family History Society, there is an inscription to Love, his wife, died 3 February 1819, aged 65.
6."In Memory of Francis Haskell, who died October 1839, aged 60 years; Elizabeth wife of Francis Haskell, who died Dec 7 1818, aged 38 years, also Edward their son, who died Jany 6 1819 aged 12 years, likewise four of their children who died in their infancy. My husband dear, My time is past, My love remained while life did last. Now no sorrow take, But love my children for my sake, My body is now turned to dust, My children in Heaven in Christ I trust."
Sebastian’s son Francis, baptized 5 Apr 1779, married Elizabeth Scammell in 1804. Francis and Elizabeth had 9 children. He died and was buried Donhead St Andrew, 24 Oct 1839, aged 60 years. His tombstone is the large one just beyond the family plot.
