GEORGE HASKELL, a son of Samuel Haskell, was born in Harvard, Mass., March 23, 1799. He was prepared for college in Bridgeton, Me., and at Phillips Exeter Academy; left college in Sophomore year; studied medicine with Dr. Stone in Harvard, Mass.; graduated at Dartmouth Medical College in 1827; practised some years in Alton, Ill.; and then removed to Rochford, Ill.; where he has continued his profession, during the last fifteen years.
He married Miss Eunice Edwards, of Acton, Mass., and has two children; Ellen and George.
