At last after much effort and cross checking, the main links in this article are much more certain than described by earlier researchers. The Haskell Family Database should assist with wider links as space is too scarce here. Other individuals researching independently have drawn the same picture after further records have become available.
Abt.1927: Children going to past The Old Post Office on
(L) Ernest George Haskell
NB: An extracted entry from the International Genealogical Index is very clear that William was the father of George Haskell who married Lucy Rumbold. In 1841 William Haskell and his wife Ann nee Harris were living next door to George Rumbold and his family in Kings Somborne. George was shown as child of John Haskell and Ann Trendell on older charts drafted by Win Haskell but the 1871 Census clearly shows George looking after his father, William aged 85, Widower and pauper in 1871 in Kings Somborne.
This previous theory can no longer be supported from the photographic records.

Frank Henry Haskell
Some older Haskell charts show Annie's surname as Misselbush or Misselbrook but 1881 census image shows Annie Misselbush as a visitor to the family household and is clearly not the surname on the PRO marriage index. This indicates that James' wife Annie was definitely not Annie Misselbush as recorded on earlier Ampfield Haskell charts. Also, William Benjamin J Haskell was shown as married to Mary Ann Brooks on older Haskell charts.
Census entries discount this theory. Refer James John Haskell’s census details.
Very important to note that only 2 Harry Haskells were registered as born in 1859, both in the June Quarter:
IGI shows Harry of Droxford as the son of Henry and Ann at his christening on 5 June 1859 in Droxford. Obviously a transcriber got it wrong. There were no other names on the PRO index with which confusion could occur. All census entries are consistent in showing him to be the son of Henry Haskell and Caroline Catherine Payne who was born Shedfield Droxford.
The other Harry was registered in Lymington which includes Milton in Hampshire whose parents were John and Eliza Haskell.
